How does VenturePath support me? 

We provide founders with the tools, techniques and resources to grow, raise funding and scale faster. Our structured process at VenturePath optimises your time and delivers choice in funding routes and offers. This support ensures you are supported at all stages of your scaleup investment journey to achieve successful funding rounds. We deliver this through:

 

Scaleup Support – We provide you with scaleup investment support ahead of a fundraise. Through upfront growth planning sessions to review business growth to date and future goals to develop a tailored plan to scale further, linked to your investment ask. This plan includes pre-empting possible investor ‘red flags’, itemising funding requirements and agreeing effective deployment of the investment. Regular progress check-ins ensure accountable progression for founders. This support is open-ended, as you prepare for scaleup investment, raise, and potentially consider follow-on funding rounds.

 

Investor Readiness – Our intensive investor readiness support will get you fully prepared ahead of an institutional fundraise. Our founders receive detailed business insights delivered from an investor perspective, determining the right investment strategy, crafting a compelling investor proposition and providing founders with the confidence and resources to close funding rounds successfully and efficiently. 

 

VC Dealmaking - Our in-depth knowledge of, and relationships with, UK and European Series A - B (including PE, FOs, CVCs and UHNWs) underpins our subsequent qualification and outreach process. With each founder we determine the best ‘fit’ for the investment opportunity, facilitate warm introductions to potential investors and provide guidance to ensure transparency at each stage of the process. Our approach aims to deliver multiple offers. We negotiate with investors on your behalf to ensure the best possible terms. Once terms are agreed, we provide guidance during the due diligence process through to a successful completion. 

Who is VenturePath for?

VenturePath supports ambitious founders of high-growth UK tech companies looking to raise Series A - B funding. Companies must be post-seed and achieved £1m annualised revenue.

What does it cost to be a VenturePath Member?

​VenturePath services are subject to an annual membership fee (£5k + VAT) and a contingent fee on successful funds raised, with limited time exclusivity. Payment of the contingency fee is conditional upon a successful capital raise; for clarity, if the raise does not successfully complete no contingency fee will be due; we get paid when you get funded.

Is VenturePath successful? Does it work?

Our team deliver fundraising and dealmaking advisory and support for venture and growth stage companies looking to raise capital or execute M&A transactions. Unlike many other advisors, our team do not have career backgrounds purely in finance; rather we have together amassed many years entrepreneurial and practical industry experience creating and driving national and international businesses - so we understand your challenges.

We have prepared our client companies for over £650m of successful transactions, including advising 60+ Series A and 20+ Series B stage companies.

We’ve been commissioned by Big4 consultancies, Corporates (IBM, Microsoft, NatWest), EU, international and UK Government (incl DCMS, Department of International Trade, Knowledge Transfer Network, Innovate UK, Arts Council England and Nesta) to deliver business growth training and investment readiness / introductions to high growth early stage tech companies. We won the Great British Entrepreneur’s Champion Award in recognition of this support.

Are there any other costs to being a VenturePath member?

Your initial contact with Scaleup Experts and Strategic Partners within VenturePath is available as part of your membership. However, if you decide to engage with a Scaleup Expert beyond this, this will be subject to commercial terms agreed between you and them. 

What is the format of VenturePath Content?

Our support is delivered both in-person and virtually allowing us to support founders from across the UK. 

Are there any sector specialisms?

We are focussed on tech and tech enabled scaleups. That covers many sectors. The 1,000 companies we have previously worked with are drawn from across the tech universe. Our support is sector agnostic but where additional sector specialism and domain knowledge is required, we have connections within the ecosystem to resource this. 

Who from a member company can participate in VenturePath activities?

Founders and co-founders, along with any shareholding senior management team members, can participate in VenturePath support.
